Ohio high school sports association media credential policy

The Ohio High School Athletic Association will vote on 14 proposed amendments for its constitution and bylaws. Three of the proposed amendments have been approved by the board, while the other issue is still being decided. These changes will go into effect for the 2022-1923 school year and are expected to take effect on May 16.

The changes would allow high-school athletes to commercially capitalize off their name, likeness and image. This would allow high school athletes to sign endorsement deals while still maintaining their amateur status. OHSAA is quick to clarify that the proposed changes will not affect athletes' athletic eligibility.
